About Me
I retired in February 2011 after working 30 years for a trade association of electric utilities. (I worked in our legislative and regulatory departments and then as executive assistant to our executive vice president and general counsel.) I've loved retirement from the Day One -- even if I was diagnosed with a-fib about a year later. Currently, I'm making headway on long-neglected projects at home, and I go to restaurants and museums and generally out and about with friends regularly. I think about renovating my condo or maybe volunteering at several local organizations, but I'm in no rush. As I have for the past eight years, I walk 50 or 60 miles a week and make a real effort to eat a healthy diet. In December 2015, I had a cryoablation (standard PVI) for paroxysmal a-fib and an RF ablation (CTI) for standard flutter. I've been blissfully (and surprisingly) a-fib-free since.
