Come Celebrate 50 Years of a Dream
In 1963, Martin Luther King, Jr. and thousands of others descended on Washington, D.C. for the March on Washington and on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, Dr. King delivered one of the most famous speeches ever, “I Have a Dream.” Now, 50 years later, AARP is honored to have three icons of the Civil Rights movement in discussion in Atlanta, live on stage. Comedian and activist Dick Gregory, former Atlanta mayor Andrew Young and former chairman of the NAACP Julian Bond sit down on Saturday morning, Oct. 5, 2013, for one of the greatest line-ups Life@50+ has ever put together.
